Church Garage Sale– April & Sept
Every spring a garage sale is held during the city's Dogwood Festival and again in the fall. Watch for our banners, Facebook, and calendar for exact dates. Because of Covid 19 one 2020 garage sale was held in August.
Drive - Thru BarBQue
Pork Steaks or chickens are prepared on the grill and you receive baked beans, potato salad, bread and brownie are available when you purchase a ticket in advance and then drive thru our parking to pick up your meals in a to go box. Our men love to cook and the women make the rest of the meal. We have tried it on a Saturday and a Sunday in June. Watch for our banners, Facebook, calendar and ads.
Oktoberfest
This is a celebration that brings people in from miles around! This event started many years ago by a pastor who had a strong German background and loved the fun! A fantastic accordionist band called the Johnny Zibert Band comes all the way from Joplin and plays polka music from
4 pm - 7 pm (The kids love doing the chicken dance) And during this time we serve a German feast! It is usually held the first Saturday of October, but watch our Facebook, calendars, ads, and banners to be sure.
From the menu you may choose two of these three meats: home brewed and slow-you cooked sauerbraten, grilled brats, or roast pork loin. Side dishes includes German potato salad, Red cabbage, German green beans and sauerkraut, homemade rye bread, and a wide array of delicious German desserts. Drinks are also included and you can't get a better or bigger meal anywhere for the price we charge. We also have lots of door prizes from the wonderful friends and businesses around Missouri! See you October 3, 2020!
Or Oct 2, 2021!
